Aerial and ground footage of Paris — rushes available for licensing

Paris is one of the most sought-after cities among art directors, filmmakers and advertisers worldwide. It is also one of the most tightly restricted.

From the air, the French capital is protected by regulatory measures unmatched anywhere else in Europe: no overflight without express authorisation from Civil Aviation and the Prefecture of Police. Applications take weeks, sometimes months, the conditions for approval are strict, and refusal is the norm. As a result, aerial footage of central Paris on the market is rare, often outdated, and rarely meets today's production standards.

Filming from the Seine involves equally real constraints. The river is a state waterway overseen by Voies Navigables de France. Filming from a moving boat in Paris requires declarations to the Prefecture, coordination with Haropa Port de Paris, and constant attention to the quays and bridges listed as UNESCO World Heritage. Every camera angle may call for an additional approval.

It is precisely because this footage is so difficult to obtain that it holds real value. Aerialcollection and its partners have built this collection over the long term, developing an ongoing relationship with the relevant authorities and mastering the required procedures. The result: an exceptional library of aerial sequences shot by helicopter with a gyro-stabilised Cineflex system, complemented by drone footage under specific authorisations, and river footage shot from a regularly operating boat on the Seine.

Whether you are producing a documentary, an institutional campaign, an advertising film or premium editorial content, this footage is available for licensing immediately — without the delays and uncertainties of an authorised shoot.
